Today Is Crazy

Why is everything so political? Where did our families and communities go? We used to spend time with our loved ones, time outside, and time enjoying the simpler things. Now, time is of the essence, and everything costs so much that you can't enjoy the simpler things.

We need to get back to making time to breathe, to have friends over, to sleep under the stars with our loved ones, and turn off electronics or switch to airplane mode.

One of my favorite childhood memories was ditching school to go strawberry picking with my siblings and mom. We spent hours "picking" tasty berries. Of course, we ate more than we harvested, but we were barefoot in the sun and embracing nature. There is nothing like a fresh berry off the vine. Now that I am older, I would say blackberries are my preference, or rainier cherries off the tree.
