Water Changes Everything

So, I used to think it was funny when I heard people say I can't drink that water, or I need filtered water only. Now I am a diehard RO (Reverse Osmosis) water drinker.

A few years ago, I started the self-love journey to feel better mentally and physically. They are connected, so I had to work on both to feel overall better. The physical was something I was already doing, but not to the best of my abilities. Breaking down diet and lifestyle change was a hard one. I am a LOVER of potatoes, rice, and goldfish! I was also drinking about 32oz a day, which wasn't terrible but definitely room for improvement. I won't go into all the details in one post, but one thing that truly changed my life was researching more about one simple element of my life. My water intake and my water type.

The water out of the tap contains fluoride, chlorine, trace amounts of estrogen in various forms, and heavy metals. So, I dug deeper, maybe I could just switch to a filter or go water bottle all the time. Found many different sources that show BPA is a lie, and plastic still leaches (not comforting), and most affordable filters can't catch everything.

So I started simple, I started with switching my household to stainless steel and ceramic, which was costly, so I did it over time. However, my health and feeling better trumped costs. Then I upgraded to a RO system paired with a remineralizer filtration. This was an investment, but you only have yourself in the end, so your health is one of the few investments worth the while.

The change in my energy and sleep quality was actually noticeable with this change. Along with bet water I upped my intake to a minimum of 64-96oz a day and even added essential minerals to assist. Yes, I changed my eating diet too but that's another story.

Funny how changing one thing can affect every other aspect of your life. They say water is the lifeforce of everything, so why not care what kind you drink?
